Inpatient Care at I-70 Community Hospital includes a 15 bed unit that provides quality care for the acute and chronically ill patient.  Care is provided for individuals of all ages, children through geriatrics.  Care provided may be outpatient, 24-hour observation, inpatient acute or in the Swing Bed program.

The Medical Surgical nursing staff at I-70 Community Hospital consists of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.  The majority of Registered Nurses are Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.  ACLS and PALS are required within one year of employment.  Our nursing staff is competent to recognize changes in patients’ condition and perform thorough assessments, then work with the provider to lead the care team in order to provide the best patient care possible.  The nursing focus of I-70 Community Hospital is evidence based, patient focused quality care.  Our patient to nurse ratios are low allowing us to build relationships with our patients and their families.
